Auction rules:

1.  NOTE: all proceeds of the auction are directed to the Class of 1968 50th reunion project to establish an endowment for the incoming student DOC trips (freshman trip).  Thus, the bid price you pay for your auction item can be considered a donation to Dartmouth College.  The Class of 1968 will email a receipt for your donation.

 2.  A bidder must be listed in the Dartmouth Alumni Directory to participate in the auction.  You are automatically listed in the Dartmouth Alumni Directory if you matriculated at Dartmouth.  You need not have completed your undergraduate/graduate studies at Dartmouth.

3.  The following rules govern the size of a bid:

a.  Initial bid must not be less than the minimum specified for any item;

b.  Minimum of $5.00 increment;

c.  Bidding ends at 11 pm EDT/EST on the bid close date.

4.  The highest bidder with a confirmed class association with Dartmouth will be awarded the auction item.  Class association will be confirmed by verifying the bidder’s presence in the Dartmouth Alumni Directory accessible through the Vox Online Network.

5.  A buy it now bid must be equal to or greater than the buy it now price.  If bidding has exceeded the buy it now price, then no buy it now bid will be accepted and the auction item will be awarded to the highest qualified bid submitted prior to the bid close date for the auction item.  The first person submitting a buy it now bid will be awarded the auction item once Dartmouth association is confirmed and the buy it now price was not exceeded in the regular bidding prior to the submission of the buy it now bid.  Please do not submit a buy it now bid if the regular bidding has exceeded the buy it now price.

6.  Bidder must provide first/last name, Dartmouth class (include class with last name) and valid email address.  Mailing address is optional during bidding, but must be provided by the winning bidder for item delivery.

7.  Payment must be through PayPal using the link on the main auction page.  Note: you DO NOT need to establish a PayPal account to use PayPal for your payment.

8.  Auction items will be sent or hand delivered to the highest bidder or the buy it now bidder after payment is confirmed.

9.   To encourage vigorous bidding for all items, there will be no charge for shipping.  We have received a generous offer from an anonymous donor to cover shipping costs.
